Peace Is Your Inheritance

Jn. 14:27-30

Paul said, “Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts (Col. 3:15). Peace is your birthright. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; My (own) peace I now give and bequeath to you”. (verse 27 – AMP) The word “bequeath” is used in execution of a will. When somebody dies they bequeath their most valuable possession to the people they love; However, just because Jesus left this peace to us doesn’t mean it automatically operates in our lives. Christian should know that some people react to conflict and problem with anxiety, anxiety empowers problem: God’s peace is available if you care to choose it. So, refuse to let negative emotions run in your life. The Bible says, “When the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce… in us… Peace”. (Gal. 5:22). Jesus said, “Do not let your heart be troubled”. (Jn. 14:1 NIV). That means you have the option of choosing between peace and inner conflict. So choose peace; it’s your inheritance!

Point of Emphasis: Peace is your birthright in Christ Jesus

Prayer Point: O Lord, I will not lose my birthright in You.
